In 2009 the Public Health Advisory Council (PHAC) was established by Resolution 09-20 of the Board of Health. The purpose of the PHAC is to convene community partners to provide periodic advice to the Health District and to the Board of Health and to make recommendations relevant to improving the health of the citizens of Snohomish County. Members are appointed to the Council for staggered three-year terms and serve without compensation. Members are appointed by the Chair of the Board and confirmed by the full Board of Health.
Human Services Organizations is one of the original sectors created in 2009. The position was previously held by Robin Fenn from March 2013 to December 2016 when she held the position of Research Manager with Snohomish County Human Resources. Since then the sector has remained unfilled.
Frank Busichio previously worked at the Snohomish Health District for 16 years (1992-2008) largely focusing on HIV/AIDS care and prevention. Frank is currently Board President for the InterFaith Famliy Shelter and maintains an active role in the AIDS Project of Snohomish County.
Chair Stephanie Wright has appointed Frank Busichio to fill the unexpired term from March 2020 through June 2021 and requests Board of Health confirmation.
