 | | | | | | | | | | | Background | | Two public health nurses in the maternal child health program in Prevention Services have resigned from their full-time position. One resignation is effective immediately and the other is effective 6/30/20. These positions perform nursing activities related to parent-child health to address health issues and disparities adversely impacting populations and individuals. Activities include population-based advocacy, assessment, policy development, partnerships, communication, education, and problem-solving.   The positions are budgeted in 2020 for $71,729 and $74,841 (salary and benefits). New public health nurses will not exceed the budgeted costs and will likely be hired at lower steps, with a cost savings in 2020.   |
 |
 | | | | | | | | | | | Board Authority | | Consistent with Resolution 19-20 and the revised Division of Responsibilities (10/8/19), the Board of Health has authority over the Health District budget. In accordance with Resolution 18-27, no hiring of additional employees is allowed without the review and approval of the Executive Committee and the Board of Health. |
