Background

The District received federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) funding to increase capacity for COVID19 case and contact investigation. The recruitment for 7 COVID Disease Intervention Specialist Supervisors – Cases and Contact Investigator Supervisors was posted on May 29, 2020. There were three internal employees that applied, interviewed, and were offered the positions. These individuals were already doing the work of a Case and Contact Investigator. Since then the third candidate resigned from the District with the last day of August 19, 2020. Currently this affects 2 employees.

PROTEC17 wants to ensure they are provided a position to return to once the limited position ends. The attached Memorandum of Agreement was developed in collaboration with the union.
