In 2009 the Public Health Advisory Council (PHAC) was established by Resolution 09-20 of the Board of Health. The purpose of the PHAC is to convene community partners to provide periodic advice to the Health District and to the Board of Health and to make recommendations relevant to improving the health of the citizens of Snohomish County. Members are appointed to the Council for staggered three-year terms and serve without compensation. Members are appointed by the Chair of the Board and confirmed by the full Board of Health.
Tony Mace, Chief of the Paine Filed Fire Department, previously represented the Labor sector between March 2017and June 2019. The sector has remained vacant since.
Mr. Hilt is Secretary for the International Association of Firefighters Local 1828. In this leadership role, he represents firefighters and paramedics in Snohomish County on the Snohomish County Labor Council. Over the past 10 years, Mr. Hilt has led efforts to broaden the dimensions of diversity in the public safety workforce.
Chair Stephanie Wright has appointed Mr. Hilt to fill the labor sector from October 2020 through June 2022 and requests Board of Health confirmation.
