Authorize the Administrative Officer to execute Amendment #19 to the Consolidated Contract (SR 21-021; K. Curtis)

Background

As part of the State’s consolidated contract, the Washington State Department of Health, has awarded the Health District the following funds:

 

  • COVID-19 Coordinated Response added additional funding to the following areas:

    • Box in the virus (BITV) $3,323103 for a total allocation of $4,420,804. The funding period for these funds is July 1, 2020 through December 31, 2021.

    • FEMA-75 COVID funding – allocation moved into BITV.

    • FFY21 COVID Vaccine Services $117,570. The funding period for these funds is July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.

    • FFY21 COVID LHJ Regional $3,750,000. The funding period for these funds is December 31, 2020 through June 30, 2021.

    • These funds can be used for incident management, testing, case investigation, isolation and quarantine, care coordination, and surge management.  

  • Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response made minor changes to contract deliverables; no additional funding provided under the COVID-19 Disaster Response allocation.

  • ELC COVID-19 CARES funding made minor changes to contract deliverables; no additional funding provided.

  • Foundational Public Health Services made minor changes to contract deliverables; no additional funding provided.

  • Injury & Violence Prevention Overdose Data to Action added $11,688. The funding period for these funds is Sept 1, 2020 through August 31, 2021. These funds are for our partnership with local hospitals to report and follow up on opioid overdoses.

  • OSS LMP Implementation added $30,000 for a total award of $90,000. The funding period for these funds is July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021. These funds are for onsite sewage management program implementation.

  • Recreational Shellfish Activities added $4,000 for a total award of $14,000. The funding period for these funds is July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021. These funds are for biotoxin monitoring of shellfish in the county.

 

The total amount added through this amendment is $3,913,258. Total consideration is $23,677,556

 
Board Authority

Consistent with Resolution 19-20 and the revised Division of Responsibilities (10/8/19), the Board of Health has authority over the Health District budget.

 
Recommended Motion

MOVE TO authorize the Administrative Officer to execute Amendment #19 to the Consolidated Contract.
