| | | | | | | | Background | As part of the State’s consolidated contract, the Washington State Department of Health, has awarded the Health District the following funds:
- COVID-19 Coordinated Response
- Made minor updates to tasks and master index code.
- No additional funding.
- Emergency Preparedness and Response
- Added $321,191 for LHJ preparedness funding with a funding period of July 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021.
- Added $79,242 for Cities Readiness (medical countermeasures) with a funding period of July 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021.
- This is 60% of the funding for this body of work. Any unspent funds will carry over to 2022 and an additional 40% will come with a ConCon amendment in early 2022.
- These funds are used for all of our preparedness activities at the District.
- Foundational Public Health Services (FPHS)
- Added $437,504 for LHJ Proviso Reinforcing Capacity with a funding period of July 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021.
- Added $163,092 for LHJ Proviso Hepatitis C with a funding period of July 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021.
- Additional funds will be provided on January 1, 2022, and July 1, 2022 and January 1, 2023.
- Our biennial allocation is $1,201,192.
- These funds are used for communicable disease surveillance and response, sexually transmitted diseases, hepatitis C, epidemiology, and other work as needed by the District.
- Injury and Violence Prevention Overdose Data to Action
- Added $150,000 for our Overdose Data to Action work with a funding period of September 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021.
- Unspent funds will carry forward to 2022.
- This is for our data collection work with the hospitals in Snohomish County.
- Maternal and Child Health Block Grant
- Added $30,000 for a point-in-time assessment (2021 Essentials for Childhood Landscape Asset Inventory) in our community. The funding period for this work is October 1, 2020, through September 30, 2021.
- Added $111,220 for block grant activities. The funding period for this work is October 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021. It is expected that the funding period will extend through September 30, 2022, with additional funding in future amendments.
- This work funds our Children and Youth with Special Health Care needs work and our Maternal and Child Health work.
- Promotion of Immunizations to Improve Vaccination Rates
- Added $45,150 for vaccine work with a funding period of July 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021.
- This is for our work to increase immunization rates for those birth to 18 years of age.
- It is expected any unspent funds will carry forward to 2022.
- COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy in Former Soviet Union Communities
- Added $42,840 for vaccine work with those from the former Soviet Union with a funding period of July 1, 2021, through December 31, 2021.
- This is for our work in outreach to residents who came to Snohomish County from the former Soviet Union to increase uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine.
- It is expected that any unspent funds will carry forward to 2022.
- Onsite Sewage System
- Added $15,000 for investigations of system failure for sewage systems with a funding period of July 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021.
- It is expected that any unspent funds will carry forward to 2022.
The total amount added through this amendment is $1,395,239. Total consideration is $37,648,804. |
