The Public Health Advisory Council (PHAC) was established by Resolution 09-20 of the Board of Health and by RCW 70.46.140. The purpose of the PHAC is to convene community partners to provide periodic advice to the Health District and Board of Health and to make recommendations relevant to improving the health of the citizens of Snohomish County. Members are appointed to the Council for staggered three-year terms and serve without compensation. Members are appointed by the Chair of the Board and confirmed by the full Board of Health.
With pending updates to PHAC bylaws and membership sectors in compliance with RCW 70.46.140, six sector appointments with expiring terms on June 30, 2021, had their term extended through December 31, 2021 (Exhibit A).
Following the December 14, 2021, approval of the revised PHAC bylaws and membership sectors, four of those same members now require re-appointments through June 30, 2024.
Based on the revised membership sectors, four members are seeking re-appointment with two sectors remaining unfilled. The four members seeking re-appointment are:
