| | | | | | | | | BOARD OF HEALTH STAFF REPORT () January 7, 2022 Action |
| | | | | | | | Increase the Administrative Officer's purchasing authority as related to the COVID response (no staff report; S. Frederick) |
| | | | | | | | Division: | Administration / Shawn Frederick, MBA, Administrative Officer |
| | | | | | | | Background | On March 10, 2020, the Board of Health issued Resolution 20-06 (Exhibit A) declaring a public health emergency and authorizing the Administrative Officer to execute contracts and authorize expenditures related to the COVID-19 emergency from the Emergency General Fund Reserves, in a total not to exceed $500,000. Due to the evolving response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in response to the current surge of illness, Resolution 22-06 (Exhibit B) reaffirms the COVID-19 public health emergency and would authorize the Administrative Officer to execute contracts and authorize expenditures for equipment, supplies, and services related to the COVID-19 emergency from General Fund resources, in a total not to exceed $1.5M or within the authorized limits of existing COVID funding, whichever is greater. |
| | | | | | | | Recommended Motion | MOVE TO approve Resolution 22-06, reaffirming a declaration of a public health emergency and authorizing the use of general fund resources for COVID-19-related expenditures. |
