| | | | | | | | Background | As part of the State’s consolidated contract, the Washington State Department of Health, has awarded the Health District the following funds:
COVID-19 Coordinated Response. The following changes have been made:
- Updated the funding period for FEMA-funded mass-vaccination efforts through April 1, 2022
- There is no dollar amount for this item. The Health District can submit for reimbursement for qualified activities for mass-vaccination efforts for COVID-19
Office of Immunization COVID-19 vaccine. $2,860,603 was added for the funding period of January 1, 2022, through June 30, 2024. These funds are for the following activities:
- Communication efforts to encourage vaccination
- Planning with partners to increase vaccine availability
- Health District to act as a vaccine depot for healthcare providers. Providers are able to order small amounts of vaccine from the Health District as needed. This activity is funded through the end of February 2022
- As-needed increases of vaccine availability through mobile, satellite, or temporary off-site clinics
Foundational Public Health Services. Includes funding for year 1 in the amount of $3,150,000 with a funding period of January 1, 2022, through June 30, 2022. Year 2 in the amount of $3,150,000 with a funding period of July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023. The total amount for years 1-3 is $6,300,000. The expectation is for these funds to be split as outlined below for the 21-21 biennium:
- $2,558,000 for reinforcing capacity
- $60,000 to conduct a Community Health Assessment (CHA) / Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP)
- $994,000 for communicable disease work
- $328,000 for work around Hepatitis C
- $2,360,000 for environmental public health work
Essentials for Childhood Early Brain Building with VROOM. $7,625 added for the funding period of January 1, 2022, through February 28, 2022.
Maternal and Child Health Block Grant. $333,659 added for the funding period of January 1, 2022, through September 30, 2022.
Tuberculosis (TB) Program. $95,449 added for the funding period of January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022.
Office of Drinking Water Group A Program. The following funds have been added:
- $3,600 for sanitary survey fees. Funding period of January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022
- $3,600 for YR 24 state-revolving fund local assistance sanitary surveys. Funding period of January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022
- $2,000 for YR 24 local-assistance technical assistance. Funding period of January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022
Onsite Sewage System (OSS) Local Management Plan (LMP) Implementation. Funding added for small onsite management:
- $15,000 for the funding period of January 1, 2022, through June 30, 2022
- $60,000 for the funding period of July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023
Recreational Shellfish Sampling. $10,000 added for the funding period of January 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023. |
