Authorize the Administrative Officer to execute amendment #2 to the consolidated contract with the Washington State Department of Health (SR 22-016; K. Curtis)

Background

As part of the State’s consolidated contract, the Washington State Department of Health has awarded the Health District the following funds:

 

Office of Immunization Former Soviet Union (FSU) Vaccine Hesitancy. Funds for this activity will be allocated to the Health District in future amendments based on amount of funds spent in 2021. The District was awarded $42,840 in 2021 and any funds not spent will carry forward into 2022.

 

Office of Immunization COVID-19 vaccine. No additional funds have been added to this item. Current allocation remains $2,860,603. Statement of work was updated with the following:

  • Funding for COVID-19 vaccine depot work was extended from February 28, 2022, to now go through June 30, 2022.

 

Infectious Disease Prevention Section. The following funds have been added:

  • $32,765 was added for State Disease Control and Prevention for a total amount of $92,797.
  • $11,990 was added for RW FFY21 grant year local (rebate) for a total amount of $19,848. Funding period of January 1, 2022, through March 31, 2022.

 

Office of Immunization Regional Representatives. Funds for this activity will be allocated to the Health District in future amendments based on amount of funds spent in 2021. The District was awarded $74,468 in 2021 and any funds not spent will carry forward into 2022.

 

Office of Immunization Promotion of Immunizations to Improve Vaccination Rates. Funds for this activity will be allocated to the Health District in future amendments based on amount of funds spent in 2021. The District was awarded $45,150 in 2021 and any funds not spent will carry forward into 2022.

 

Office of Immunization Perinatal Hepatitis B. Funds for this activity will be allocated to the Health District in future amendments based on amount of funds spent in 2021. The District was awarded $21,500 in 2021 and any funds not spent will carry forward into 2022.

 

Injury and Violence Prevention Overdose Data to Action. Funds for this activity will be allocated to the Health District in future amendments based on amount of funds spent in 2021. The District was awarded $150,000 in 2021 and any funds not spent will carry forward into 2022.

 

Emergency Preparedness, Resilience & Response. Funds for this activity will be allocated to the Health District in future amendments based on amount of funds spent in 2021. The District was awarded $400,433 in 2021 and any funds not spent will carry forward into 2022.

 

ELC COVID-19 Response. Added $5,736,112 for January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022. These funds are for the Districts response efforts towards COVID.

 

Commercial Tobacco Prevention Program. The following funds have been added:

  • $55,114 was added for SFY22 Youth Tobacco Vapor Products. Funding period of January 1, 2022, through June 30, 2022.
  • $10,379 was added for FFY21 Tobacco-Vape Prevention Comp. Funding period of January 1, 2022, through April 28, 2022.
  • $14,658 was added for SFY22 Marijuana Education. Funding period of January 1, 2022, through June 30, 2022.

 

COVID-19 Refugee and Immigrant Community Health Worker Support. Funding was added in the amount of $100,000. Funding period of January 1, 2022, through May 31, 2023.

 

Office of Drinking Water Group A Program. The following funds have been added:

  • $1,600 for sanitary survey fees for a total amount of $5,200. Funding period of January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022.
  • $1,600 for YR 24 state-revolving fund local assistance sanitary surveys for a total amount of $5,200. Funding period of January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022.
 
Board Authority

Consistent with Resolution 19-20 and the revised Division of Responsibilities (10/8/19), the Board of Health has authority over the Health District budget.

 
Recommended Motion

MOVE TO authorize the Administrative Officer to execute amendment #2 to the consolidated contract with the Washington State Department of Health.
