Amendment #3 to the consolidated contract with the Washington State Department of Health (SR 22-029; K. Curtis)

Background

As part of the State’s consolidated contract, the Washington State Department of Health has awarded the Health District the following funds:

 

Office of Immunization Former Soviet Union (FSU) Vaccine Hesitancy. Funds in the amount of $38,219 have been added to our contract for the period of January 1, 2022, through June 30, 2022.  These are the remaining funds of our initial contract amount of $42,840 that the District received July 1, 2021. These funds are used to reduce vaccine hesitancy among Russian and Ukrainian-speaking community members.

 

Office of Immunization Promotion of Immunizations to Improve Vaccination Rates. Funds in the amount of $4,916 have been added to our contract for the period of January 1, 2022, through June 30, 2022.  These are the remaining funds of our initial contract amount of $45,150 that the District received July 1, 2021. These funds are used to increase immunization rates in the county among children birth to 18 years of age.

 

Office of Immunization Perinatal Hepatitis B. Funds in the amount of $20,793 have been added to our contract for the period of January 1, 2022, through June 30, 2022. These are the remaining funds of our initial contract amount of $21,500 that the District received July 1, 2021. These funds are used for a public health nurse to follow up when a baby is born to a mother who has hepatitis B to ensure the infant has received appropriate care.

 

Injury and Violence Prevention Overdose Data to Action. Funds in the amount of $113,175 have been added to our contract for the period of January 1, 2022, through August 31, 2022. These are the remaining funds of our initial contract amount of $150,000 that the District received July 1, 2021 and are used for our work with the Snohomish County Opioid Response Multi-Agency Coordination Group.

 

COVID-19 Mass Vaccination – FEMA. The reimbursement period for mass-vaccination efforts has been extended to July 1, 2022. The Health District is able to submit reimbursement requests to FEMA for any COVID mass-vaccination efforts that we, or our contracted partners, have done.

 
Board Authority

Consistent with Resolution 19-20 and the revised Division of Responsibilities (10/8/19), the Board of Health has authority over the Health District budget.

 
Recommended Motion

MOVE TO authorize the Administrative Officer to execute amendment #3 to the consolidated contract with the Washington State Department of Health.
