Background

On May 25, 2022, the Board of Health adopted a resolution in support of Snohomish County withdrawing from Snohomish Health District. Subsequently, on June 8, the County Council adopted a resolution to withdraw from Snohomish Health District effective December 31, 2022.

 

At the July 12 Board of Health meeting, the Board approved suspending the Division of Responsibilities adopted in Res. 19-20 and delegated decision-making authority to the Executive Committee for matters related to the County withdrawal due to the authority needed for timely decision making.

 

Staff recommend the Board of Health establishes every Thursday at 12 p.m. at the main offices of Snohomish Health District located at 3020 Rucker Avenue, Everett, Washington, and via virtual meeting platform, as the set day, time, and location of its regular Executive Committee meeting until December 31, 2022. In the event that a meeting is not required, it will be cancelled per usual meeting cancellation processes consistent with the Open Public Meetings Act.

 
Board Authority

Consistent with RCW 42.30.070, the Board is authorized as the governing body of the Snohomish Health District to provide by resolution the time for holding its regular meetings.

Move to approve Resolution 22-23, establishing every Thursday at 12 p.m. at the main offices of Snohomish Health District located at 3020 Rucker Avenue, Everett, Washington, and via virtual meeting platform, as the set day, time, and location of its regular Executive Committee meeting.
