| | | | | | | | Background | Maternal Child Health currently has two programs that incorporate the expertise of an Environmental Health Specialist:
- Child Care Health Outreach Program: Program EH
- Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program: Program Lead, Co-Investigator
The current workload has surpassed the currently allotted .5 FTE. Staff would like to increase this position’s FTE to 1.0 to adequately reflect the current workload.
This position at 0.5 FTE is at $60,966.75 (including benefits) and is currently funded by FPHS (.3 FTE) and CDC (.2 FTE). Increasing this position’s FTE to 1.0 would be an additional $60,966.75 (including benefits) and the additional cost would be covered by both FPHS (.5 FTE) and CDC (.5 FTE) funding. If approved, this FTE increase would take place on December 14, 2022. |
| | | | | | | | Board Authority | Consistent with Resolution 19-20 and the revised Division of Responsibilities (10/8/19), the Board of Health has authority over the Health District budget. |
| | | | | | | | Recommended Motion | MOVE TO authorize the Administrative Officer to increase the FTE of the current Maternal Child Health Environmental Health Specialist from .5 to 1.0 in the Prevention Services division. |
