The Health District was integrated into the County on January 1, 2023. As stated in a June 8, 2022, Snohomish County press release by then Snohomish County Council Chair and Board of Health Member Megan Dunn, “Our priority is to strengthen public and environmental health in Snohomish County.”
A robust workgroup of public health stakeholders convened to develop recommendations to strengthen public health during the first three years following integration. Those recommendations have now been finalized and approved by Executive Dave Somers.
