April 7- 13, 2025 has been designated as National Public Health Week and this year’s theme is “It Starts Here.” The annual celebration began in 1995 and is sponsored by the American Public Health Association. National Public Health Week provides the opportunity for special attention paid to the efforts of public health officials who are dedicated to improving the public’s health.
During the week, we celebrate the power of public health by highlighting programs and services provided by the Department that contribute to a strong public health system.
